About our team
SaveAFox’s team is made up of dedicated and determined individuals united by a shared commitment to helping wild animals in need.
In the beginning, our team was only made up of Mikayla Raines, our founder, and a small group of people close to her.
After a few years of hard work, they made SaveAFox into a fully operational rescue and started gaining online popularity.
In turn, that meant more people wanted to join SaveAFox, either as fulltime staff members or volunteers. With their help, time and dedication, SaveAFox grew.
Today, SaveAFox has expanded its goals and impact, allowing us to help permanently shut down fur farms and operate two separate wildlife sanctuaries.
This is also made possible by our supporters on YouTube and social media, and all those who donate or shop with us.
How it all began
IT STARTED THROUGH PASSION AND HARDSHIP
SaveAFox was founded by Mikayla Raines with a simple yet powerful goal: to make the world a better place for animals.
In the early years, that mission meant starting small. Mikayla lived in a treehouse, caring for foxes with little more than her determination and the help of a few close friends and family members.
Resources were scarce, the work was demanding, but her commitment never wavered.
What began as one person's passion, built against the odds, would soon grow into something far greater.
IT BLOOMED THANKS TO DEDICATION AND SUPPORT
As SaveAFox grew, so did the community behind it. Over the years, countless volunteers have given their time, energy and compassion to help care for the foxes and keep the mission moving forward.
With the support of generous donors and everyday people who believed in what SaveAFox was doing, that small sanctuary grew into a dedicated team of full-time staff and volunteers.
New equipment, expanded facilities and a second sanctuary made it possible to rescue and care for even more foxes.
What started with one person's passion became a shared commitment to give more foxes and other animals, a chance at a better life.
